After the 2019 premiere, Intersolar Summit Spain 2021 took place as an online event from April 21–22, 2021 and was jointly organized by Intersolar, SolarPower Europe and the Spanish Solar Association UNEF.  The Summit focused on the role which corporate sourcing, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), RES auctions, grid access regulatory framework, and self-consumption will play in this process, and which obstacles still have to be overcome.

Intersolar has teamed up with SolarPower Europe and Spanish Solar Association UNEF to shed light on Europe's new solar boom market – Spain. Intersolar Summit Spain took place in Barcelona on June 18, 2019. The event focused on the PV market development in Spain, the chances of the announced grid parity, corporate sourcing models, regulation and policy issues. Intersolar Summit Spain brought together 200 key stakeholders in this market, which is being driven by auctions and increasingly by subsidy-free corporate sourcing of solar power. Impressions

Fortaleza, Brazil, April 10-11, 2019

Taking in consideration the natural conditions and the low prices for property in comparison to the rest of the country, the Northeast of Brazil stands out in the renewable energy sector. According to the goals of the Fortaleza 2040 Plan the city is planning to occupy 10% of its roofs with solar panels, in addition to becoming energy self-sufficient by 2040.

The event focused on the opportunities and challenges of this goal and welcomed 250+ delegates and more than 25 top-level speakers to discuss policies, legal challenges and regulatory frameworks as well as grid-integration solutions and financing.

Iran is aiming to boost its renewables sector. The current installed capacity of 240 MW is planned to increase to 5,000 MW by the end of 2020. Companies that are investing in renewables make it onto a shortlist to receive a tax incentive, assuming they fulfill conditions relating to the specific location and an output purchase agreement with the government. Despite the attractive tax incentives, the solar market in Iran remains challenging.
